The following story is true. Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent.
Last week at the Windmill Harbour Real Estate office, I received a phone call from a nice lady, "Betty," who was interested in seeing some of the homes in Windmill Harbour. She was actually calling on behalf of her friend, "Wilma," who was visiting from out-of-town, and who was considering relocating to Hilton Head Island. After some discussion about the particulars on the home Wilma would like, I set up some appointments for the following days to tour potential homes.
It so happened that on the second day of seeing homes, we were inside a home that overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway. As these lovely ladies and I looked out the back window, a pod of dolphins came by, near the shore line directly behind the home we were touring! Now, dolphins are a common site around Hilton Head Island, but their timing could not have been more perfect.
As we stood there watching these amazing creatures, Betty leaned over to me, and with a smile on her face says, "How much did you pay them to do that?"
If only it were that easy...
Somewhere there's a pod of dolphins swimming around Hilton Head Island. If you are out on the water and happen to see them, throw them some fish for me, and tell them, "John says, 'Thanks!' "
