Golf helps put Bluffton on the map

Hilton Head Island and Golf are synonymous. With more than 40 or 50 courses in the area, they do not all exist on the island alone. Bluffton, SC, located just over the bridge from HHI, is also home to some top-notch courses.

Visitors to the Lowcountry who wish to avoid the island traffic can very easily stay and play in Bluffton. This once small-town sits at a crossroad, with easy access to other surrounding places, such as Savannah,GA, and historic Beaufort, SC.

For the record, Old South Golf Links, on the Bluffton side of the bridge, is currently my favorite local course.
