The lock provides a safe harbor for boats. The are plenty of advantages to anchoring your boat in Windmill Harbour, including less wear-and-tear on your boat since it will not be subject to tide changes. Additionally, the harbor is filtered at such a rate as to deter barnacle growth, so that means less cleaning of the hull.

Foreclosures - Buying a home again

Previous homeowners with a foreclosure or bankruptcy can generally buy a home again within 2-3 years after the incident.

Typically after a bankruptcy, a borrower can apply for a new loan after 2 years, and 3 years following a foreclosure. There are some other criteria, such as a credit score of 640. Some lenders may even go as low as 600.

When buying a home, be sure to do your research. Talk to your lender and Realtor. They can help point you in the right direction. In many places, it does not cost to use a Realtor as a buyer, since the commission on a sale is paid from the buyer. The buyer pays a percentage sale of the home at a rate predetermined before the home is ever listed.

Westbury community members help fight fire

This afternoon, a fire somehow started in a wooded area adjacent to Westbury Park. The fire was located behind the homes on Ashbury Court. Neighbors noticed the smoke, then flames, start to come over the berm. Many quickly ran to grab garden hoses. My wife and I were there first-hand, helping wet down a neighbor's backyard area.

The United States' most expensive home

Being on Hilton Head Island, located on the Atlantic Coast, we have some high-priced homes for sale. I mean, who wouldn't want to live at the beach? Our family went for a walk in the sand just a couple of days ago. The climate here is great year-round. The golf courses almost never close.

However, Hilton Head Island does not boast America's most expensive home. For that fact, neither does New York or California. Actually, this exquisite home is in my home state of Texas.
